1. Who was Joseph Mccarthy? A US Republican Senator. 2. What were his politics? He accused everyone from trade union members to Hollywood stars of carrying out un-American activities or being communist agents. 3. What were the first accusations he made? The first accusations were made in a speech (1950), he showed the audience a pepeer with a list of names of 205 supposed active communists working in the State Department. 4. Why do you think the American public believed him? Because the "Red Scare", they were frightened about a communist attack in the United States. 5.What other people did he go on to accuse? What were the foundations for his accusations? He accused; government employees, trade union activists and people in the entertainment industry that had their careers and reputations ruined. 6. How and why did the reaction of the American public change? Because he accused officers of the US army. People were able to see his brutal interrogation methods....

Life expectancy is a measure of the average time an organism is expected to live according to the year of birth and other demographic factors. This expectancy is different in every country because the way of life, climate, food...may be another. The countries with more expectancy are this ten: Japan, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, Australia, Italy, Iceland, Israel, France and Sweden in the order in which I have put it. Our country, Spain, is one of the countries with people over 110 years with Sweden and France, they are called the "supercentenarians". Spain has an average of 82.7 years of life, but some recent studies have said the average has gone up to 83.38 years over the United States (78.74) and below Italy (83.49) What are the main factors that affect longevity?
